DESCRIPTION:Join us as we kick off summer at one of the most beloved annual traditions hosted by Alexandria Kiwanis + Alexandria Figure Skating—the 14th Annual Awake the Grapes 5K & 10K! Whether you’re here to race or just to cheer on friends and family\, it’s a day filled with community spirit\, live music\, refreshing sips\, tasty eats\, and plenty of fun. \n🏃‍♀️ The Races\n\n\n5K Course: Wind your way through the scenic grounds of Carlos Creek Winery\, including trails through our estate vineyards. \n\n\n10K Course: Take in the beauty of the countryside with a route that stretches through our vineyards\, past Lake Ida\, and along County Roads 34 and 61. \n\n\nBoth races feature a mix of paved\, gravel\, and cross-country terrain. \n🏅 The Awards\nStick around after the race for a celebratory award ceremony outside the winery tasting room! \n\n\nMedals awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age group (5K & 10K) \n\n\nOverall top male and female finishers in each race will receive special recognition \n\n\n🎉 The Extras\nWhether you’re lacing up your running shoes or simply soaking in the vibes: \n\n\nEnjoy live music\, delicious food\, and award-winning wine\, beer\, and cider\, cocktails\, mocktails\, coffee\, root beer\, french lemonade\, and more! \n\n\nBring your crew—spectators are encouraged and welcome to cheer\, sip\, and celebrate \n\n\nRegister by May 4th at midnight to receive an official Awake the Grapes event t-shirt \n\n\nRegistrations after May 4th include a drink ticket instead of a shirt \n\n\n💜 Want to support but not run?\nChoose the “Donation” tab during registration\, and you’ll still receive an event t-shirt—just swing by on race day to pick it up!
