“The Werewolf’s Curse” – Saturday Day Theatre Show – Presented by Lakes Area Theatre

Lakes Area Theatre is popping up at the Grand Hall at Carlos Creek Winery with a hilarious comedy packed with multiple characters, multiple accents, ridiculous costumes, and plenty of laughs.

The Werewolf’s Curse or Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow by Billy Wayne St. John is the perfect way to spend an evening (or afternoon!) with friends, a glass of wine, and a whole lot of laughter.

Poor Harry Pate! An American student at the University of Lipsync in Romania, Harry is bitten by a werewolf cub while on a field trip. When the full moon arrives, Harry sprouts hair and develops a serious craving for rare roast beef — much to the dismay of his vegetarian fiancée.

So what's a werewolf to do?

Harry heads to the castle of Dr. Frank Einstein to consult Madam Clara Voyant. But Dr. Einstein has plans of his own. He wants to turn Harry into a full-fledged werewolf that he can sell to Professor Wonder!

What follows is a wonderfully wacky spoof of those classic 1930s horror movies, complete with a mummy, a vampire who drinks juice (his mother was a fruit bat!), a puny strongman, a belly dancer, a carnival troupe, and seven villagers all played by the same quick-changing actor!

If you're looking for outrageous comedy, silly characters, and a night out that's guaranteed to make you howl, this is the show for you.
