Awake the Grapes 5k + 10k

Join us as we kick off summer at one of the most beloved annual traditions hosted by Alexandria Kiwanis + Alexandria Figure Skating—the 14th Annual Awake the Grapes 5K & 10K! Whether you're here to race or just to cheer on friends and family, it’s a day filled with community spirit, live music, refreshing sips, tasty eats, and plenty of fun.

🏃‍♀️ The Races

• 5K Course: Wind your way through the scenic grounds of Carlos Creek Winery, including trails through our estate vineyards.

• 10K Course: Take in the beauty of the countryside with a route that stretches through our vineyards, past Lake Ida, and along County Roads 34 and 61.

Both races feature a mix of paved, gravel, and cross-country terrain.

🏅 The Awards

Stick around after the race for a celebratory award ceremony outside the winery tasting room!

• Medals awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age group (5K & 10K)

• Overall top male and female finishers in each race will receive special recognition

Whether you're lacing up your running shoes or simply soaking in the vibes:

• Enjoy live music, delicious food, and award-winning wine, beer, and cider, cocktails, mocktails, coffee, root beer, french lemonade, and more!

• Bring your crew—spectators are encouraged and welcome to cheer, sip, and celebrate

• Register by May 4th at midnight to receive an official Awake the Grapes event t-shirt

• Registrations after May 4th include a drink ticket instead of a shirt
